mail4 cl2 on sorbs list

Can you PM me reference on that?

I did a quick check and don't see anything specific to it on SORBS.

SORBS autobot closed our ticket without any resolution, as it thinks the IP is not in their blacklist. Going to reopen it now.
One thing I'll mention here, if anyone has forwards to bigpond.com.au, they must immediate stop using it. I highly think they are behind or related to SORBS, and any spam forwarded blacklists us.

Firstly thanks for following up with this issue.

It seems a tad impractical to tell customers that they can't forward to bigpond.com.au and with all due respect I feel that you as a web host and reselling provider shouldn't be telling us or our customers who they can or can't forward to as it may dimish the value of our or your product.

bigpond are one of Australias largest if not the largest ISP's here and I personally wouldn't use them for anything, they still have a huge monopoly on the comunications infrastructure here, i.e they own all of the equipment.

Having said that I doubt they have anything to do with sorbs. I have found that bigpond customers can receive email from jodos servers as long the spf includes g*******e in the spf record

I will post your suspicions on whirlpool which is an australian forum dedicated to communications and related industries, isp's web hosts etc and see what the community has to say.

I have the feeling that the admins at bigpond are not the most capable persons. Recently they have been sending delivery failure notices to me. All of these are due to Spammers forging one of my email addresses in the Return-Path. But get this - they are not bouncing because the recipient is not known or because a mailbox is full, or one of the standard reasons for delivery failure. They are bouncing because the message has been identified as Spam! Why would any ISP bounce an email that they had identified as Spam? It's totally beyond me. And to make matters even worse, whenever a Spam email was addressed to multiple recipients, they sent a bounce for each one of them! Morons

That SORBs robot was going round and round with us about not being listing, not allowing to reopen ticket, etc.

We did finally get a human looking reply that said the list was cleared and will refresh within 2 hours as it should not be there...I don't know that that means exactly. I mean if it is there, we wanted to know why and ensure that was stopped, if it was a mistake, fine but it was a weird reply.

Not many people would disagree with you in regard to bigpond, I checked back on sorbs and it looks like the ip is delisted.

Also seems bigpond is getting listed on sorbs as well

while jodo can't be blamed for rbl listings and I'm now slightly off topic but it's not the only thing that has many of my long term customers up in arms based on recent jodo issues, I hope they get everything sorted soon as I find myself becoming increasingly frustrated with things as they are at the moment

There was an infected(their Pc) mail user and a reseller allowed fraud account that did this, it was stopped quickly but some mails escaped :(

We can understand some frustrations, we are having some as well as you may imagine.

I understand that Stephen, but what about moving at least this one account from MAIL4. We are about to lose over $10,000 in annual business over an e-mail issue. We have a doctor's office with 7 surgeons who cannot receive e-mail from their office. The hoops they have to jump through just to make their office work are incredible and its not JodoHost that's getting a bad rap from this is it my company. Something needs to happen and it needs to be resolved TODAY.

Was a temp solution provided? I have a very good client also on mail4 who had bounces today sending out out to their clients. Is it possible to move my clients to a different mail server on jodo?
