I was wondering if you could help with the following issue:
I am trying to set up a mailing list on the email system, but I cannot get the system to accept subscription requests by emailing the [email protected].
I can add people manually, but the system will not accept automatic email requests.
When people try to subscribe by email they get the following response:

I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following
addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

Am I missing a setting somewhere? Would value any help since I have already publicised the availability of the list.
