Move to new servers

Could you please outline what I need to do to move my site to the new servers, and in what order? I've gotten different emails but haven't had the time to figure it all out, very busy and I have many different accounts...

1. Do I need to ftp everything over?
2. Set up the databases - then ask you to copy the data over?
3. Update the nameservers

Are there deadlines?

Has my ftp info changed? Do I get to my control panel differently? Do I need to redo all my CP settings?

2) Yes - we will shift data after you have created DB
3) Yes

There are no deadlines. If you don't shift your account, our administrators will eventually do so.
 
One more question, I changed the new server CP to Dedicated IP and the link given to me for the site no longer works. I can get to it from the new IP of course, but I just want to make sure it will work correctly when I change the nameservers to point to jodoshared.
