MSSQL 2012 Management Studio and Right Click on DB

In MSSQL 2008 Management Studio, I can right-click on a given database to bring up the contextual window for queries, refresh, and most importantly, tasks, such as the import data wizard.

In MSSQL 2012 Management Studio, however, whenever I right-click on the database, I get the error, "Cannot open database "msdb" requested by the login". I've tried setting the connection properties to default to the database I'm trying to work on, to no avail. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
 
Not on my part, I haven't been able t find anything, 2008 edition of SQL was making good strides for shared/cloud friendly and I thought 2012 was beyond that, it is a bit surprising to see such error.
