MSSQL6 - resolved moved to new hardware

It had rebooted with an error, it is back up now but we are checking on it further.

it has rebooted again, we are going to have it come online and stop MSSQL services while checking it further.

server is up, and SQL server being stopped on it.

It is crashing now even with SQL server off, the error is consistent that it is getting and looks to be an NTFS issue that MS had a hotfix for but we are checking all other avenues as well, as we fear it may be hardware related since it has not had any change in the last week or more.

We have the hotfix installed now and rebooted, but going to keep SQL server off for just a bit longer while checking other possible issues as well.

This is not good, hardware seems to be at fault. We are going to start prepping another server and rescue the databases off of this one now.

The new server is ready to go, but the file copy is still going (between reboots) off of the MSSQL6 machine, we are working to get it up ASAP, but it may still be a while and it will take longer than the last MSSQL restore due to the file copy taking longer.

We cannot move the hard drive as well on this hardware as the previous, as it is slower and older hardware.

We are down to last of the files copying, however they are also the largest of the files. Will update within the next 20 minutes

We are on the last 3 files now...

They may be the most challenge by the looks of it so far.

The final and largest file is copying now, the single most important file is copied and on the new server already.

If this final file does not copy we will copy it from backups from last night, but we are giving it a final shot!

ok all files copied, about to bring up SQL server and then we will mount the IP once the databases have been checked.

Working to get IP mounted on new server now, the old one rebooted just as I was going in to do it making me have to wait a little longer on it to come back up...............

MSSQL6 up on new server. Again on this one, no backups restore, using the latest data.
