Number of sites per server

How many sites do you host on each computer?

I read somewhere else that you only allow up to 1000 sites per box.

Upto 1000 sites on a Dual XEON server equipped with SCSI hard disks in a RAID array.

200 to 300 on a single P4 Sata Server.

1000 sites might sound excessive to you but the server handles them flawlessly since database is hosted separately and the server is quite powerful utilising SCSI instead of SATA or IDE.
 
We would have to get the stats from each server and add them up, if I get some time in the next 48 hours I will do that.
