Dear Customers,

We have received a notice of important security updates for Parallels Server Bare Metal 5.0 and Parallels Cloud Server 6.0, This is of high importance and Parallels have released a update for this. We will be installing all required updates to address the matter.

Impact
Parallels Server Bare Metal 5.0 and Parallels Cloud Server 6.0.

Solution
Update the Parallels Server Bare Metal 5.0 and Parallels Cloud Server 6.0. with their respective update options which will install the latest kernel which has been fixed to patch this vulnerability. After update we shall have to reboot the nodes to get this done. We shall post for each Node as we do. There will be 5 to 10 min of downtime for the servers on the node.

Time for Update :- 2AM to 4AM CDT
Nodes that will be updated ( VPS Clients ):- PCS1, PCS2, PCS3, PCS4, PSBM5
Nodes that will be updated ( Hsphere Servers ) :- CL1-NS, CL1-NS3, CL2-NS1, CL2-Mail1, CL2-Mail2, CL2-Mail4, CL2-Web1, CL2-Web5, CL2-web7 and CL2-mysqlSD1.

PSBM5 is looking to have VMs up but network not working on them, so we are checking into that now.

Apologize about the issue on PSBM5 node, this is an odd one and network is up to node but to virtual machines it is acting up.

Ok just wonderful, it seems like this 'requires' an update of the virtual server tools to work! This is very frustrating that it won't work even with older version and wasn't mentioned. We are working on it.

all the servers on PSBM5 are now up Parallels have switched to old kernel for now...and that brought back the network connectivity.

There are still 3 VMS on PSBM5 with some sporadic network problem that we have made Parallels aware of and working to increase ticket severity back to urgent now.
