Sending SMS?

Is there any way to send SMS message from asp.net or from some other cgi? Thanks.

i signed up with clickatell.com a while ago

They have an ASP.NET API as well as a way to send SMS via email.

you can do it all with email if you know peoples numbers.. it is usually [email protected]

Not all services support Email to SMS. Ours doesn't. That's why I am looking to see if there is some solution in asp.net.

I use the email to sms service at www.clickatell.com They are based in South Africa and provide a very good service. It's a bit of a faff signing up, but they are very cheap (4 euro cents ish per sent sms, about 2.5 UK pence or 4 US cents) and the sms messages arrive after about a 3 second delay. To send an sms from an email is simplicity itself, and it's dead easy to incorporate it all in your back-end website code, whether asp or asp.net.

Check them out, they provide 10 free sms messages for you to test the system before you commit yourself. There is no monthly charge or anything, you just pre-purchase credits with your credit card.
