We have had a few tickets recently about shared SSL and ASP.NET 2.0 not working together, we have confirmed this and the way hsphere shared SSL works there is no workaround for it at this time, therefore we would recommend that anyone on asp.net 2.0 needing SSL get a dedicated SSL certificate.
