smtp authentication still required ?

has the requiirement to enable smtp authentication for relaying been removed from jodos mail servers?
 
still exists and will remain, without wed' be spammer haven, which we have NO DESIRE to ever be.
 
I'm using mail.domain.com form my machine, that's why I asked.
I'm currently uploading the app and will try from the web server and let you know if I get the same result.
 
Ok. Does the server validates with IP or something other than username/password? Because it seems I can use from my local machine even if I see on a trace log that the authorization failed. But I believe it doesn't work from the web server.

It allows pop before SMTP as authorization to send as well, but is time limited, you are probably seeing this.
