Starting Friday evening at approx 8pm we will begin doing SQL Upgrades on remaining SQL servers that have not upgraded to SQL 2012+ Servers. We will be upgrading mssql7,8, 10,11,13 servers to upgraded SQL 2012+ based servers. These changes will result in some downtime for the databases on those servers, and may require a ticket if there is any trouble in the process of upgrading databases, however we are striving to automate and complete thee upgrade with as little intervention as possible. No IP addresses or connection strings will change in the process of the upgrade.
Cluster2 SQL Server upgrades will occur NEXT weekend for the same type of timeframe and purpose.
These servers will see an increase in performance with higher end CPUs, more RAM, and higher core speeds, as well as based upon newer more secure and stable OS platforms.
