SQL Server VPS

What is the possibility that jodo will offer a VPS just for databases instead of for webhosting.

I assume Jodohost can get the web edition at a much better price then I can.

I have SQL Server 2008 web edition through a MSDN subscription but I don't think I'm supposed to use it in a production enviournment.

We have a SQL Server dedicated to just VPS clients, that is a new thing and moving people as requested.

However, yes Web Edition SQL is a nice price and enables some options going forward there is also a tool (paid)for monitoring per user SQL bandwidth that has come into development recently that may allow us to officially offer SQL as a service standalone going forward. All these things we will be evaluating in coming months.


with Hyper-V accounts we can also make a private network between two servers and they can communicate directly without going to public networks, allowing unmetered transfer between web/SQL Hyper-V servers (or any two Hyper-V servers really)
