Storm effects...

Hi Guys

I know Ike is off the coast of Texas. But is there any chance this will affect the network in Florida? Just wondering because I used a second web host one time that was seriously affected by Katrina even though its servers were in Texas at the time.

I think they stared accepting failover traffic from a Louisiana datacenter which is what caused the problem.

Just wondering.

Na should not see any problems, TX and Louisiana however when there is an impact share a lot of the storm surge and rain.

We are monitoring another storm however that is currently known as Invest 91, I believe it was at one time named but is falling apart at this time and downgraded.

Just as a FYI I am actually in Texas right now with family, lots of rain but that is all right now, however I am far inland, some grandparents are more where hurricane force winds came and there is a lot of down power, trees down, and roof damages.

That's worrying.
You'll need that poncho ;)

Hope everything is going to be OK.
This thing still has enough power to be concerned even if you're inland. It's pretty big.

Good luck to you and your folks, Stephen.

storm effect! that is a big problem for one small community!
