Re: terrible support experience again

We have never supported easy apps for windows and our shared hosting doesn't even show it, the only way it will show is as a reseller if you enabled it in the plan, but correct it won't work.

Even if it did work it would be a 3 year old version with so many security holes it would be hacked in days, so it is a BLESSING that you do not have it there.

This is the main reason we never supported easyapps, we so now effort given by psoft to keep it updated, and parallels gave notice that they discontinued it, and going to migrate to APS system, which they have now backtracked on and said they will give open source direction for modifying EasyApps now.

so there may be hope in the future for updated Easyapps, and the possibility of including it, but right now it is simply a curse, and something we don't install because it is so bad.

Installing it manually is THE WAY to go, you can then update it with updates as they provide and much better support from the community as well (being the zencart community) as it will be standard install version.

I am sorry for the long wait you encountered and will discuss this with the live chat team(it was live chat right?) and ensure it is handled better next time, however the info you got in the end was accurate, it is just a matter of helping the communications and timeliness of that to happen more quickly.

Re: terrible support experience again

Techs just updated me on it a bit and it looks that the main issue was it said 'installation successful' that was baffling everyone, they checked and it even shows a directory hierarchy there which is not normal(containing no files however). they were fully checking this out as to why it did this as it is supposed to simply fail even if someone has easyapps enabled on their plan and tries, for some reason it is not doing that, but saying success.

This is the reason for the extended time taken, and we are checking why it did that as well.
