Using WordPress Permalinks with Windows IIS

Seems like we can't do the Wordpress Permalinks on the windows IIS boxes. Wordpress says we need apache's mod_rewrite, so that won't work. and I've seen details about MSFT's url-rewrite (here http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/460/using-url-rewrite-module/), which is free. Then there's http://www.seoconsultants.com/windows/isapi/3/, which costs $99 per server and unlimited domains.

Looks like Jodohost doesn't want to install this, which really puts a damper on SEO friendly urls for the Wordpress blog. Does anyone know of a work around? Or are other people interested in this (these plugins have a lot of other benefits with other scripts too) - if so, then perhaps if enough voices speak up, then jodohost can install it.
 
It isn't something we can install if all voices stand up, it isn't compatible when hsphere is running. Logs will die.
 
OK. Thanks Stephen. Sounds like having it installed isn't an option. So does anywone know of any other tricks or workarounds that might make this work?
