What happened to Exchange

So, I recently referred a relative to Jodo for exchange hosting. only to find out that there were no links on the site to sign up, you could see that jodo offered it and have the information out there about it, and that it's AVAILABLE to resellers.

I then referred my family member to live help feature to determine if maybe we were blind and couldn't see the link, or just to find out what was going on... upon having the conversation with the agent stated "we no longer offer this facility."

Well then why is it advertised on your website.. so then my family member proceeded to mention that it's still on the website and then it's also being advertised as resellers are able to resell exchange as well.. well he was then presented with "any existing resellers can still use this facility but new resellers will not have this facility available to them."

When asked why we were then given a generic answer of "it's an internal company policy"

Sad. Totally not like Jodo to just advertise something then not have it available then give a lame answer like that.

I checked in my Control Panel as well thinking that i'd just set up a plan for him.. and hm.. it's not available and i'm an existing reseller.

I then proceeded to check around the board, did some searches and found NOTHING announcing anything about the discontinuance of Exchange... of course, these boards are loaded with stuff so I could have missed it.. but right now.. i'm pretty upset with this level of service...

So.. what's going on.. where are the answers?

Exchange has never been sold directly by us, there was a page developed but never linked, we never offered it direct at all.

Also exchange was only on cluster2 for resellers, never on cluster1.

It is also an addon service to the reseller plans as well, billed extra. The services will have an announcement in the coming days of their termination as well as there are so few users due to the added costs of it, however this will be phased.

So few users because u put it on cluster 2 when you had people wanting it on cluster 1....

I've beginning to start seeing Jodohost announcing things, but never following through.. like Atul mentioning some new things coming in January from their parent company w/in 45 days.. yet... nothing.

Ah but we have things coming :)

we have the beta's up and runing right now.

Exchange in hsphere is not anonymous, it does not allow reseller url's to show, the management of accounts is downright archaic and does uses an additional account just for exchange management that does not integrate into dns and other hpshere management for a URL.

At best it is a terrible hackjob that they did to make it available. It simply doesnt work smoothly or well at all.

Only Exchange 2003 is supported and the integration is so lacking it is more headache than it is worth each client that had purchased it we have had to spend countless hours directing how to use.

Can anyone tell me exactly what the status of exchange option offered on reseller hosting?

I found JodoHost whilst searching for a host with "reseller" packages that had exchange. I could only find Fasthosts who have a number of negative reviews against them and so far JodoHost. However after my initial look in this forum it seems they're either talking about shutting this option down or commenting that it's basically a mess and shouldn't have been offered. But its still on the website so what exactly is the status?

Cheers

It is still there but not actively being sold.

We recommend people look at AppRiver or MailStreet for exchange.

Exchange in Hsphere is old and absolutely crappy in quality, no anonymity, no access to some needed tools, and outdated(2003 ONLY)
