Win32 host node move tonight 10PM CDT - completed

As a last resort move to resolve issues in slowness with win32 we are moving it to a new host node tonight.

We cannot see any issue on node it is on, and there are few servers on it (win20 being one of them) that are running perfectly fine. However win32 continues to be much slower than it should be even with tweaks in config and 4 assigned CPU cores.

During this time we will need to take the machine down to ensure the integrity of the copy as we are also changing storage node at the same time to eliminate all possible slowness factors.

We apologize for having to do this on short notice but want all servers running at better than ever before levels, not the same or worse.

Re: Win32 host node move tonight 10PM CDT

While some changes we made on win32 helped a lot through the day, it was not enough to be where we want it in terms of performance and we will be moving node as announced. This will start in a bit over an hour from now.

Re: Win32 host node move tonight 10PM CDT

Win32 will be shutting down for this maintenance now.

Re: Win32 host node move tonight 10PM CDT

Moving the files says it will be about 36 minutes.

Re: Win32 host node move tonight 10PM CDT

99GB to go now, about 50% done with file transfer.

Re: Win32 host node move tonight 10PM CDT

50GB to go now, looking at a bit longer than windows estimate of network file copy (not uncommon), but speeds holding steady for the copy.

Re: Win32 host node move tonight 10PM CDT

down to less than 10GB, update coming soon.

Re: Win32 host node move tonight 10PM CDT

Fiel copy is done, doing some quick config and bringing online.

Re: Win32 host node move tonight 10PM CDT

Configs are taking longer than expected. Should be done in next 5 mins

Re: Win32 host node move tonight 10PM CDT
