Re: SmarterMail Poll

I prefer the Silver Frameset version. Is that easy enough to facilitate?

I'm still to work on it, so yes can consider it.

Can people choose between the Blue and the Silver versions?

By Blue, you mean this?

The only thing I have noticed at this stage that I would like to see changed is that when you click on an email in the Drafts folder is for the Draft to open in the same window and not another window just like when you click on the "Create new mail" link.

Double click will do it for you. Still a very valid suggestion.
Can you please post your feedback to:

If there is no response to your post, I'll create a support ticket with them.
You can refer to their own demos as a point of reference as I can't work on templates today.

Re: SmarterMail Poll

That's incorrect URL to login. You need to login here:
http://64.187.104.173/dwmail/

Yes that works except in Advanced Login mode for which I tried various permutations but without success.

I want DWmail to remember each of 4 email accounts I want to monitor simultaneously so that I can use Bookmarks to restart them when I start up my PC.

Thanks, Michael

Can you PM me the values you are trying to fill in there for each of the boxes on the "Advanced login" page?
Also, it appears "Silver Frameset" is already available in default install.

Thanks for the info!

Advanced login seems to be not following the Dwmail config and is sending incorrect username (username without "@domain.com").This causes authentication to fail. Will send them a support ticket about this problem.

Thanks for the confirmation!
I've a ticket logged in with them about the "Advanced login" bug (along with feedback you have posted) and will update here as soon as I've a response from them.
Meanwhile, you can use your preferred template on general login page by using below URL:

I got the following error Tanmaya:

There was an error connecting to your mail server. Your server reported: Connection failed to localhost.localdomain,110: Connection refused

Thank you, Michael

Are you using the "Advanced login" option?
If not, please clear your browser cache/cookies and relogin.
If yes, I didn't mean to use "Advanced login" but the mail login screen that has link to the "Advanced login" page.
I'm not planning to enable POP3 support and just wish there was a way to disable it in Dwmail.

No, I wasn't using the Advanced option. I cleared the cache and removed the Cookie but was still getting the following:

There was an error connecting to your mail server. Your server reported: Connection failed to localhost.localdomain,110: Connection refused

I then cleared the cache and removed the Cookie and also reloaded the page and it's now working.

I'm going out for a while. Catch you later.

Thanks, Michael

Hi Tanmaya,

Time for some feedback using the Silver Frameset interface.

When is the Advanced Logon feature going to be enabled. At present, it still produces the same errors I've mentioned before.

The menu items (Reply, Delete etc) should remain static with only the list of emails moving up and down. Similarly, there should be a static footer for this section of the interface - try the Empty Trash feature and you will see what I mean.

The horizontal separator bar, between the list of emails and the preview pane, needs to be made thicker for Mozilla SeaMonkey. I don't use Firefox so I can't tell if the same problems exists there but it appears ok in Opera 9.27.

In the left pane the number of messages displayed next to the InBox link doesn't get updated when you've deleted messages. Similarly ,if you click on this link and there are more messages in the list the number of messages displayed next to the InBox link doesn't get updated. Same problem exists if you click on the Check Mail link.

You can't set the width of the left pane.

Thanks, Michael
