A friend of mine here in Australia was looking for some Windows hosting and asked if FeaturedHost.com was any good. I was a little curious about who these people were because they had some similarities to JodoHost so I had a chat with them on MSN well.. thats mainly the interesting part...

I added a new domain to my CP some time ago and was using the instant access alias to view my site because I have not pointed my domain to jodohost yet. Suddenly today they stopped working.. what's up?

I have to say, your server status page (http://www.jodohost.com/network.htm) is rather backward. It uses static html and gives no live information on server activity. Only data it gives is on network activity. My last host provided extensive details on each server such as RAM usage, etc. Also...

I don't think Mike's way is very accurate to determine if a host is a reseller. I have to admit, when I signed up with JodoHost I was a little suspicious that they might be a reseller. But that doubt quickly blew away when I saw three things 1) JodoHost is owned and run by a stable company...

Sometimes your ISP resolves your name server for you. Thats what Yash probably meant by caching

Oh. Now I understand. I couldn't see my site (from here in Australia) for like 4 hours. But my friend in the UK was seeing it perfectly well. Anyway, I can see my site now. Guess my ISP (and most ISPs) refresh their caches every 4 or 5 hours.
