yes I know I have to pass through many routers but I've experienced that the more hops I have to do, the slower my download speeds get if I have to download file > 20 MB. also I'm now sceptical users due to previous bad experiences.... but you are right about the sprintlink network...

thank you tracing jodohost.com gives me a result of 21 hops pinging (20 times) jodohost.com gives me avg. 140 ms with TTL=110 downloading this very small file, the speed drops to 120 kb/s (then it finished so I can't know if it would drop even more) mhhhh 21 hops, that seems a bit too...
