403.2 Read Access Denied

Hi,

All my domains (all 2 of them) are receiving this error:

HTTP Error 403.2 - Forbidden: Read access is denied.
Internet Information Services (IIS)

I cant login on file management or with frontpage. I havent updated anything, and the last I knew, it was all working. So, my question is… if I didnt change anything, why is it broke?

could you PM with your domains and server
Did you try using password protection?

I think this is a Win6 issue. I am getting it also for all of my domains on Win6. And I cannot log in with FTP either.

Yes you are right. Some sites on Win6 are showing access denied. There is a permission script that is correcting permissions every account, one by one. Could take 90 to 120 minutes to complete from now. You’ll not be able to access FTP till then either.

I also just read through the Win6 thread you have, there’s a lot happening on there right now, so I could have just waited. Sorry about that.

when you get a 403 forbidden error, it means your directory has been created but the files haven’t been restored yet. At this point, you can log into your ftp account and do it yourself
