64.187.103.252 is a suspected spam relay

A number of clients have stopped receiving mail forwarded from their domains to their ISP hosted mailboxes. Today another client advises some messages are bouncing.

Typical bounces include:

Connected to 203.109.135.49 but greeting failed.
Remote host said: 554-mx.mailfilter6.ihug.co.nz
554 BLOCKED: The SenderBase reputation of your ISP or corporate mail server is extremely bad.

and

554 #5.7.1 Mail rejected. DMZGlobal Business Quality Electronic Messaging. 64.187.103.252 is a suspected spam relay by way of a very low SenderBase Reputation Score , see http://www.senderbase.org/search?searchBy=ipaddress&searchString=64.187.103.252 for details.

Apparently this problem has existed since Friday. Anyone else experiencing the same problem? I’ve logged a ticket (EGX-51928-358 ), and according to Tanmaya’s reply, there is little that can be done except “get a complaint registered with these blocking IPs that their client’s are loosing mails due to unreasonable reputation system put in place by Senderscore”. Is this the only solution?

The list of blocking domains is increasing and now covers several continents. And some customers are reporting that sent mail is neither received nor bounced (deleted as Spam?). It is already impactical to contact all blockers. Another solution is needed

I have noticed this also my IP for my VPS has been put on a black list because of the 64.187.1xx.xx IP. I think it’s the UCEPROTECTL2 blacklist.

I did put a solution in place shortly after so emails are delivered fine. Sorry I didn’t come here so wasn’t aware of this post. It indeed turned out to be an issue with SenderBase as I predicted.
Here is copy of their last response:

Tanmaya
We have been able to identify and resolve an issue related to your IP
address. Please allow about 24 hours for this information to be
updated through our network of servers.

Sincerely
Senderbase.

I don’t really think many are using it and it is not recommended to block using it. As far as I see, we are paying for some not so good neighbors subnets.
