A customer has sent another support request 3 hours ago and once again it’s not in the support queue.
The other night I was told it was probably caught in the external spam filter - why?? The emails are coming via your own mail servers - surely they are classed as non-spam?
How can I log a call direct for this customer so that it looks like it has come from him and all replies go to him?
first, it is not so easy for us to allow form our own domain, as anything submitted via cerberus shows to have the same from, making it really bad to allow all them, then we’d have 4000+ tickets a day all spam.
But I am going through all the blocked mail and have released two now, if it ws about access database restore or where to get web logs, it should be answered soon.
I’ve had trouble connecting to the mailserver (mail.domain.co.uk) to pick up POP3 mail today. “Connection refused” all the time.
Turning off use SSL Encryption in my mailclient seems to fix this problem for me. Either unencrypted or TLS encryption works now; SSL - which I’ve used for months - doesn’t any more.
Is this a permanent change? A quick Google suggests that TLS is Transport Layer Security, and a successor or improvement on SSL.
