i had a test DB on MSSQL3 (CL2) before the transfer and it was working great.
i happened to bring it live just as the transfer was going on. since mssql3 has been on the new server (that is, from a few days ago) my site has been painfully slow - with up to 50 seconds between page loads!! sometimes i get MSSQL timeout errors.

i have been waiting for support to get back to me (awaiting senior tech’s for almost 24 hours already) - but wanted to see if its anyone else.

is anyone else getting this?

Hi,

are you using the IP 173.0.139.236 would be my first question? If any reason it is using the old IP it is having to make a multi thousand km round trip that does slow things down.

Otherwise, everything should be fast faster the hardware in the new server doubled the CPUs, increased the speed per cpu, and is sitting on WD Raptor drives, something we never did before on SQL servers.

could it be because the site itself has not transferred yet?

Yes if win9 or win10.

If you want we can move you over to Win11/12 if you want 2k8, or 2003 win13.

win9/10 are the sole remaining CL2 web servers and will be moved at the end of next week.

if so - yes, pls have the site transferred asap - the client is really upset.
