Anyone Else Having Problems with Mail today

what sort of problems?

The last few days several of my clients (I have a reseller account) have reported problems sending and receiving mail. The client have different domain names, but are both on 204.14.107.174. Both clients are in different parts of the US, but have reported the problem within 5 min of each other. Both clients report that they can not send and receive in Outlook.

I have notice a few posts on the forum about mail problems. Are there problems with this mail server? Are you guys monitoring the server for error, processes, cpu, memory?

I have talked to support staff at JODO Host both times (today at 12PM CST and on Feb 8th aroun 3PM CST) but both times nothing was found and the problem just went away.

I posted this because I wanted to see if anyone else using 204.14.107.174 was seeing the same problem.

Now I ask you, What type of information can I provide to JoDO Host support staff to help them troubleshoot the problem next time?

I love my relationship with JoDo Host and I dont want that to change. The only thing I worry about is that mybe the support staff are over worked Or maybe this is going to be another DIYhost ( I hope not).

Thank you,
Sean

Sean, there was an issue with mail4.. There have been some very serious inflow of mail into the server.. hundreds of thousands of bounces causing some disruption..

We believe we have taken care of it and things are normal now.

We also had issues today accessing not only our mail but all domains hosted on the JH servers. Lasted for approx 2 hours and was not able to access Jodohost.com to send a ticket, etc. We could view other sites off-network.

I had that exact same issue last night (02/09 from starting at 10PM CST till 11:30CST). I could access any other website except sites related to jodohost.com. I could not access jodohost.com and my websites host by jodo host. I could access jodopulse.com. I tried a tracert to jodohost.com and it died on the nap network.

We aren’t aware of any network outage that lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes. Our network is monitored quite closely.

Can you post a traceroute?

Yash, I wish I had it, but it was late so I gave up last night and went to bed closing the window. thank you for you input on this issue. I will keep you post if I see anymore problem. I have no reason to believe that you guys are not doing everything you can to provide an excellent environment for your customers. So for now, I will just monitor on my end and trust that everything is running great.

Thank you!!!

Sure, please provide such information. Could have been a network glitch beyond our control..

A 2 hour network outage as mentioned is a VERY serious outage to us… We do not have a single ticket about such an issue, apart from these 2 forum posts
