i seem to be stuck on setup stage 1, when it checks if there is MySQL installed. it fails the checks for some reason, and as i understand - there is no need to create the database before setup.

yes oyu must create the database before setup because it doesnt have root access to make a database.

just created a db and user and updated the installer file manually. still no go though. could it be permissions or something?
send a ticket we can aid, I really don’t know 
BTW I did an vanilla install and a their file/picture manager install some 6-8 months back without any real problem. It is not still there but I did install it.
