i’m getting an intermittent error -

An exception occurred: ‘Open’

this KB article seems to point at a solution, can support tell us what the status of this is - Microsoft Support

what server are you talking about? (windows 2003/ windows 2000 can make a big difference in any issue)

Edit: we are running mdac 2.8 however, so this should not be an issue, I most certainly will need the server and possiblydomain to check this.

its win5, and i am now getting a LOT of "unspecified error"s on pages that just a few mins ago worked fine.

also ticket 51149 with domain info

It is resolved now, IIS on win5 has been up for a long time, it seems that it was unable to process anymore ADO connections, I will be checking that out.
(IIS reset fixed it)

yes, please do that. errors of this sort are not good. why not do a scheduled reset of IIS once in a while?
