ASP.NET, how tough?

I’m totally new to the .NET platform and am a ASP 3.0 user. Could someone tell me how tough it is to learn ASP.NET and what are its core advantages.

I am a php coder and i’ve just started learning asp.net. i have to say its easier and more enjoyable to learn than PHP. (but i still like PHP more :stuck_out_tongue: )

OK, quick question. What editor do u use for ASP.NET. Do you have to buy some expensive Micro$oft editor?

no u dont have to.
You can download a nice free ASP.NET editor from here :
www.asp.net
look for ASP.NET Web Matrix.

VS.net is extremely nice, you should consider trying it. :slight_smile:
