ASP Pages Down

It’s time to wake up the new Windows administrator. Our sites (ASP Pages) have been down for about an hour in a half now and no ticket response as of yet.

This is a common Access OBDC issue, the driver is unreliable:

Barry,
I am getting this error now, are you doing something with the database, all other asp pages arenow working.

Microsoft JET Database Engine error ‘80040e21’

The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time.

Edit:
Something else that could cause this is a page with improperly close/non closed connections.

Edit: and now it isworking perfect, seems whatever was accessing the DB quit and allowed it to work again.

Yes I know the error but I was getting it for I hour and more !

After that I opened a ticket

Anyway Working now …

Thanks I will look into this issue. It is just a simple script that counts each hit from each page and stores it in a database. Maybe the error you received was because people were trying to access a page/database at the same time?

I replied to you ticket but it was not showing a username or email address, so I am not sure if you got it.
