AWStats vs Webalizer

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed extremely different results from webalizer to AWStats. On average our Webalizer statistics are saying that we have about 10 times as many visits a day as the AWStats is saying.

I believe the issue is that webalizer thinks every “hit” is a visitor.

I have seen this issue come up many times, and never seen a really good answer. I will dig and see if I can find anything that is technically detailed in why this is the case.

i think i actually get th opposite - Awstats gives me more than Webalizer…
