I have a potential customer asking about our backup scheme. Can someone shed some light on what the backup scheme is at Jodohost? Are they daily backups? I realize they have the ability to use the CP backup, but they want to know how the servers themselves (web and DB) are backed up in case something happens.

backups are run at minimum every 24-36 hours on all except winvps which is done 2 times a week, unless the user makes a backup from the power panel or requests via ticket for an additional one.
Database backups are automated at the morning hours between 12am and 4am daily on each server.

We make a best effort to restore on request but this is not practical in every situation.

Are they incrementals or full backups? Are they kept for a period of time such that if the customer doesn’t notice an issue for a few days, they can get something back?

We do one full and then increment for the next week.

Typically we hold for a week all backups, and then do a rotation and try to keep the 2 week old files for an additional week, but not each increment of them.
