Best way to get Backup MSSQL 11

Hi there,

What’s the best way to get a backup of my db on mssql11?
It is about 350MB in size I think?

Some of my .net sites have stopped working since migration
so want to move a couple around.

Cheers,

Paul.

I have got to work on web UIs of mssql11/12 here today, however 350MB will be pushing limits of working or not via webUI.

What do you mean stopped working? really best not to move around, especially DBs, we can much more reliability moved sites.

so best to send a ticket and we’ll get you a rar/zip of the DBs you want.

if you are using an IP to access mssql11 it would be best to update that to to either the new IP 173.0.129.40 (posting since in customer only), or mssql11. which will auto point to new IP now unless using 3rd party DNS.

Thanks Stephen,

I have emailed and got a backup of the DB. I don’t know why things have stopped working. I am getting “Service Unavailable” now.
I need the sites up, so am moving my sites away.

Cheers,

Paul.

We can fix that, just let us know

The main issue is that in migration it lumped all asp.net sites together by version, we have them all split up previously, we are working to split them up now and have been for a while. sometimes code conflicts and makes the pool crash, this is a very easy fix just let us know.

You didn’t ticket it but we found it, you are in a small pool already even, and it crashed, we’ve been working this one for a while now only 16 ‘sites’ but 10 of those are subdomains of one domain, we are splitting yours out now and were keeping an eye on these other subdomains.

Thanks Stephen. Sounds like a nightmare!!!
