I’m seeing threads like this when there’s a problem with a web server:
Post 1: I am resetting IIS on Win2.
Post 2: Its coming UP now.
Post 3: Its working pretty fast now.
and
Post 1: We are working on it.
Post 2: It is working fine now.
Can we have more info about what caused a particular problem instead of simply “it’s ok now”. Just a few words are ok.. especially when having to reset IIS, or in the second example, at least some info about what the fix actually was.
It’s reassurance that the cause is known and less likely to happen again, e.g. a troublesome customer script is being followed up with a warning, etc.

Service down for half an hour, with no info about why or anything to tell our clients.
