blacklisted again

Hello,

The mail server is having problems again. My customers are getting tired of this and I myself too

I cannot open a ticket because Cerberus sucks and my ticket does not appear up to now, despite having submitted it again

Please fix asap!

Thanks

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at @.
I’m afraid I wasn’t able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I’ve given up. Sorry it didn’t work out.

Connected to 204.127.198.26 but sender was rejected.

Your ticket is in now, it was in the spam filter, not stuck in cerberus.

OK, now please solve the real problem. One thing you can do is to configure the accounts of my customers to use the servers that have not been blacklisted. I have suffered this several times and I have been patient, but my customers are fed up with this spamming issue. I know it is not your fault but give a solution soon!

any update???

The problem is mostly due to spam getting forwarded and here is link to already posted update on this:
http://support.jodohost.com/showthread.php?t=8787

Thanks for the explanation and the reason, but now I would like to know about a solution. Please see my ticket for my specific situation and problem:

RS #ADQ-68144-16

I suggested you a course of action, but you can do something different if you want as long as it does not take days

Please take into account that it is unacceptable to just let us wait a couple of days to solve these problems every time this happens (that lately has been very often), you should address the trouble directly with PSoft or whoever is the responsible for this. A temporary measure you can adopt is to just disable auto forwarders and auto responders while PSoft fixes its problems. I am hosting with other companies (no HSPHERE) and I do not have this problem (at least not as often), only with you, and yes, I also have autoforwarders and autoresponders with them, so I fail to see why is your situation special at all (autoforwarders/autoresponders are not anything exclusive of HSPHERE)

The ticket number isnt complete. Kindly check it.
We cant employ any course of action if it is not appropriate for a major amount of users.
Also it has been mentioned many times on forums that there isnt any quick option to delete/disable all auto-forwarders and auto-responders. Even most people wont agree to disable them completely. I agree, Hsphere limits the flexibility in terms of options we can use and what we are doing will certainely resolve such issues with most of the providers. While we are working on the posted solution, I’m still looking at alternatives to get around the issue for this mailserver.

Hello, this is the complete number: [RS #ADQ-68144-162]

So you are saying that the spam problem that prevents people to send emails because they are rejected is only affecting just a few people? the “major amount of people” who will be affected by the TEMPORARY disabling (until psoft solves or alleviates this) of AFwd/ARsp is more than the people who cannot send email because of the blacklisting??

My customers depend on the email to do their business, if there are people who prefer to keep their autoforwarders and who do not mind to be backlisted, they can be put in the most blacklisted server in your Network so that they can enjoy what they want, I do not mind about it

Also, you did not have the complete ticket number so please do not tell me that my proposal in unfeasible without looking at it first

Thanks!

Thanks. I’ll look into it.

No, please dont assume.

I would say yes, but that is not the point.

Certainely no one enjoys blacklisting. But such options may come in future where some resources will be selectively available. Please be assured, we are working on resolving it completely and such things on our cale do take time. When i said about alternatives, i do mean to try get something done in a few days so that comcast doesnt creates this problem while we move to our anti-spam solution. The problem due to ineffeciency of their filters and not because of us.

You mentioned it here and It is the same in ticket. I’ll rather update you there.

Right, it’s the proposal for setting MY customers to use the servers that are not blacklisted. I do not see that causing troubles to “a major amount of users” like you say (specially the ones who prefer their AR/AF than sending emails). Anyway, that is my proposal, if you have in mind something quicker and better please go ahead and do it

Right now, ONLY comcast is blocking us on and off. Trust me, if there was a temporary solution here we would have applied one.

But right now, we are just waiting on our spam filtering system to be up

what a coincidence, my customer just contacted me again some minutes ago

When is your spam system going to be up?
Did you already contacted comcast regarding this?

This is not Comcast and we are banned here too:

There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient’s email server. Please contact your system administrator.

        <xxxxxxxxxx.com #5.5.0 smtp;553 Bogus helo xxxxxxxxxx.com. <http://unblock.secureserver.net/?ip=71.165.35.193>>

“71.165.35.193” is not our IP. And we do have contacted comcast many times recently.

I know it is not yours, or at least I suspected that, but the email sent from one account hosted here is being rejected with that message

See the ticket for more details

Did you ever bother to see the ticket?

It is a verizon ip - check the clients SMTP settings - it appears they are using the Verizon SMTP server and not the JH one.
