blocking internet but receiving email

Hello,

I have a client that has an odd request. He wants to set up 10 machines.

6 of them with free internet access and 4 with no internet access or limited to only email via internet.

I have never set up somethign like this before is it possible for those 4 computers to conect to our email server by limiting the Internet access? Maybe using other ports?

They are running windows 2000 server in the office.

Any help or ideas would be great.

That is odd request, only thing I can think of is to use a filter that requires authorization to use otherwise it will keep asking for username and password if you try to get online. Ipcop firewall + DAns Guardian or Squid would do this, I have done a filtering setup with them before quite easily.
