An occasional 4-8 sec load is not something we can monitor such that it alerts us, and it will occasionally happen if there is an intensive jrun process spike. They would typically only last a few seconds, and if it lasts longer than that it would of course be something we can work to rectify.
the site that was making the access db trouble is gone now.
Perhaps Access wasn’t really the issue then. Our clients are being told by their site users that the sites “are running extremely slow.” Their board members are also questioning this, which relates directly to our service Stephen. We really need to pinpoint the issue. This has been going on a long time and the sites were already moved to a new server once.
Where and when is it slow?
I am NOT seeing it slow except that once, when we found the issue and sent notice, and they are gone now. When there is an issue, we seek and resolve it, we are doing so in this case as well.
I am not hiding, denying covering up or anything here, if it is slow, we will surely check it, if it is not slow, what am I to do?

I have been looking at various software packages in the last 3 days for CMS needs, and have seen pages take 20+ seconds to load on them, I didn’t give up I waited. (this is not related to this, just saying as my experience, sometimes slow loads happen) even on a dedicated server a slow load can happen sometimes.
We are still monitoring, if seeing any slowness, we will act further.

I understand Stephen. We’re definitely not insinuating coverups. Just that we’ve had this issue for some time and it’s continuing. But we run the system we’re using on a bunch of servers.
The only sites that are reporting this issue are on this server. It’s a magnitude of slow that users notice enough to report. And they’re only reporting about the sites here.
Server is up and working fine now. We are checking for any large queue of connections that may have caused buffers to fill. Stephen was checking your site and i checked with him. He didn’t see any issue before error.
Squidz, if you want we will move you on different server. We didn’t see any such error on new server.
Manish - we don’t really want to move the sites because we did that before. This is not the only site that has had the slow-load problem on this server. We’d prefer to find the cause and solve it rather than shuffling all of these sites.
We have enabled some enhanced logging to log more details of issues for us, and while not impacting the server told one user via email about a 404 error on their site that is literally filling the logs (makes it hard to find the legit issue)
Guys - I want to relay to you two messages from our clients regarding their websites. This issue is beginning to negatively affect our relationships with our customers. We REALLY need to try and determine what is happening on this server.

the cordua.com home page is moving extremely slow right now. I waited nearly 1 minute for the home page to load. Once it loaded, the subsequent pages have loaded ok. But, clicking around the site for a bit, I have hit 3 page loads that extended beyond 25 seconds. For a bit the pages may be snappy then it bogs down suddenly.
Yes Stephen - one of those quotes was from a meeting yesterday. The second was reported today.
mhahouston.org - this one on the same server is creeping to over 25 seconds as well. I am currently on a highspeed connection at 16mbps
when you see this document the time and time zone, then only can it be useful for us, to check the logs at that time.
i have been hitting the sites pretty regular and not seen more than 6 seconds.
you can also use www.alertra.com to check it from many sources at that time.
