Chat Software System Requirements

I am looking at adding Chat Software on one of my domains. I have looked at the System Requirements and I don’t know if Jodohost meets them. Any ideas?

[li]a dedicated server machine or true shell account. Free web hosting services, or web-only hosting, won?t work.
[/li][li]Java? Runtime Environment installed on your server machine.
[/li][li]Java-enabled operating system, such as Linux?, UNIX?, Windows? NT/2000/XP, and so forth.
[/li][li]the ability to run background processes, such as daemons, on your server machine. If you are unsure of whether you have this ability, ask your hosting provider.
[/li][li]SSH or telnet access if you are not at the same location as the server.
[/li][li]586/200MHz with 64 MB RAM or better. Dedicated PII/400 MHz with 256 MB RAM is enough to handle 400 or more concurrent users

that one wont work, we dont meet the first 5 requirements. It requires a dedicated server.

Does anyone know of good chat software besides what comes installed by default?

I look at: http://www.realchat.com and it looks really good, but it won’t work on Jodohost.
