CL1 - MySQL problems

There seems to be a problem with several of the MySQL servers that CL1 domains would use.

Right now it looks like any database interaction kicks back something like:

Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL

Sometimes the page load times out with (Chrome error message):

ERROR: Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): Unknown Error

I had a list of sites and related SQL servers, but it’s stored on a site I can’t access at the moment!

I didn’t see anything else, but this has been going on for quite awhile now - at least 30 minutes - so it doesn’t look like a momentary glitch or hiccup.

I was going to submit a ticket, but when I tried to hit JodoHost.com the page would’t load…
I tried to submit via email, but got a an error kick back:

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at cmail1.gohsphere.com.
I’m afraid I wasn’t able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I’ve given up. Sorry it didn’t work out.

Looks like it’s going to be a stressful Friday!

Me too - on MySQL10

Me too - on MySQL10, and

http://resellerdesk.jodohost.com/support/index.php gives

Cerberus [ERROR]: Could not connect to database. Check your site.config.php DB_* settings.
Reason: (Too many connections)

The Twitter feed indicates they are having a network issue - I’d guess it’s affecting communication between servers and specifically the SQL servers.

I can ping them, and I think I even logged in via PHPmyAdmin, but any webserver attempting to access can’t…definitely an issue running CMS sites that use DB like Drupal, WordPress and Joomla.

Just out of curiosity - have you tried to email a support ticket?

My two attempts both got kicked back:

I just noticed that very odd date too…weird? It definitely shows up in Gmail that way:

from: [email protected]

subject: failure notice

Important mainly because of the people in the conversation.

Stephen posted he was hoping for improvements within 15-20 minutes, however that was 30 minutes ago.

I might need to start making some HTML temporary landing pages if this goes on much longer!

Stephen is a good operator - I’m sure he’ll be trying everything. Fingers crossed (but maybe an HTML landing page is a good idea!)

It’s interesting to see the delay and amount of time it takes various customers to see their site is down.
Some must have it set as their home page or default page in their browser because they are on the phone before I even get a notification email.

I’ve even received a few that assume it’s been down for ‘weeks’ because that was the last time they checked it!
Considering they happen to be checking in one of the rare down times makes me doubt that!

(oops, I got a server time out the first time this posted)

Really bad day guys, timing was messed up, and all the while this happened the AC unit started giving high pressure alerts and alarming like you won’t believe, so had to call in the HVAC guys to check it out!

All sites working again now so well done Stephen - Jodo are very lucky to have you! (I blame global warming and an excess of neutrinos in our part of the galaxy.)
