where can i find all the componets that are installed on this server. I used webshell and was able to see a few asp componets, but not many.
maybe this is a presales topic, but i was under the impression that all accounts came with a dedicated Ip? is that not the case?

Go to account settings from your CP. Yes, you are most likely on win2
Components are not installed in your directory, they are installed in the system32 to directory. You need to reference to them through your ASP code
You do get a dedicated IP but you can only use if it you can justify its usage according to our IP usage policy. If you can, just click on your domain and click “Switch to dedicated IP”

Thanks for your response. I take it your the resident guru around these parts. Slightly new to asp. what would be the full path. is there a document that i could read that kinda outlines all the random things like this?

No, you don’t need the path to access an object.
What components ae you interested in using at I’ll point you to some documentation
