PROBLEM: I can login into the control panel fine. The problem starts as soon as I click to log into any of the “user name” accts…the browser window goes blank and I get a status bar message stating “Waiting for http://cp.pcgraphixdns.net/psoft/servlet/psoft.hsphere.CP/pcgserviceacct/2948847_0/”. The screen remains blank for up to 10 minutes and then slowly the page will begin to appear. I experience this same long delay for each subsequent page I try to pull up.
FRUSTRATION: This has been happening EVERYTIME I try to access the control panel since February 28, 2007 (1st ticket I submitted). Most of the time I just give up in frustration and close out the browser. When I absolutely need to gain access to make changes, I’m forced to submit a trouble ticket. After an hour or so, tech support fixes the problem (I was told they had to restarted services on server) and I can pull up pages just fine. However, the fix is short lived as the very next time I need to login the same long delays re-appear and I’m forced to submit yet another trouble ticket.
CLUE: I’ve noticed that when the control panel is experiencing these long delays, the statistics “disk quota” bar graph will show up as a pinkish-purple bar (as opposed to the normal green bar) & displays “not available/not available MB”. I suspect that the control panel delays may be related to it’s failed attempt to calculate the disk quota.
HELP ME: Submitting trouble tickets hasn’t resulted in a permanent fix. How can I get this problem escalated to the appropriate level of support for final resolution?
I haven’t been experiencing 10 minutes but for the last week I have been getting the fastest of 10 seconds and average of 30 to 45 seconds.
Support tells me that it loads for them in 3 to 5 seconds, but I can’t see how. I have checked them from 3 ISP and 5 computers all with the same results.
Yes… a bit frustrating… but not as frustrating if it took 10 minutes.
I am also having problems with the CP. It hangs when I try to view an account with multiple domains and view the account ID details. It has also been responding very slow in general. Slow to log in slow to load all pages, etc.. What’s the deal? My tracert times are topping out at 72 from the West Coast so I’m assuming it an issue with the CP itself. Can we get some Jodo input here? Thanks!
i cancelled out of the update as the script was still hanging. I then went back in to check the quota for the plans and it seems at some point in loading, they were updated…though the script never loaded.
Slow, yes like 5-7 mins but i’m at 350+ms from the server. Need to check on a faster connection. Possibly it was slow before i checked. We are going to keep an eye on this. I’ll monitor it and will see if something need to be addressed here. One sure need i see here is the routine maintenance that seems to been missed this time. I’ll try to get it scheduled this weekend.
I don’t understand what is happening here. I originally posted this thread 4 days ago and have gotten no response from JodoHost at all. Have no idea if support is even looking into my problem. Nothing has been fixed as the control panel is still slow as molasses. In fact today is the worst delays I’ve experienced thus far.
To add insult to injury, I check the forum today and see that you are promptly following up to “CCA” post regarding his complaint of the control panel being slow.
What gives?? What about addressing my control panel issue?? Here is one of many tickets that I’ve submitted…SZK-40802-411.
As always said forums are not the best route to resolution.
I don’t think so support team is aware because the ticket has already been replied with no further response to it.
Yours i checked and found already replied. Please don’t take it as an offense. We are here to get things solved to your satisfaction, but forums are really not where we look daily for issues.
Just reply to it and ask them to monitor. It is enough to bring it to respective team’s notice. I’ve now told Manish to look into this issue as your control panel issue is webserver specific, while the one cca mentioned is related to control panel server.
For you and everyone else, Hsphere runs as a low-priority service on Windows server so web services and client applications can get ample resources. Now when stats calculation is done Hsphere service with limited resources may slow down is responding to control panel requests. Unfortunately this portion is cannot be customized or we would have applied some tweaks to it. We will be working on this anyways.
For any status update, please respond to your ticket.
The whole CP was slow for you? We are going for a maintenance anyways, but its good to know if it was something server specific and not related to control panel as a whole.
It’s been over a week since the last time I tried to use the control panel (hoping that time will result in a resolution) but the same problem exists…still experiencing the same delays in moving from the various sections of the control panel…it took 11 minutes just to pullup one of my user accounts. Now I’m waiting another 15 minutes (so far as it still hasn’t given me confirmation) just to delete an email acct!
WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE FOR SOMEONE TO FIX THIS FLIPPIN’ PROBLEM?
I’ve submitted numerous trouble tickets which haven’t resulted in a permanent fixed. I’ve posted this message to the forums which only revealed that I’m not alone in this problem. Tanmaya suggested I use live chat for more immediate resolution but was just told via live chat to submit a trouble ticket.
So now I’m back to square one…I’ll submit yet another trouble ticket for the same flippin’ problem with little hope that anything will be resovled.
I’m convinced that the problem has something to do with the calculation of the Disk Quote as it ALWAYS APPEARS as a pink colored bar graph and states “not available/not available MB” whenever I experience these long delays. After I submit a trouble ticket JodoHost does something on their end which temporarily removes the delay and and the Disk Quote appears normally. However, the next time I log into the control panel I once again experience the long delay between control panel pages and the Disk Quota appears as a pink colored bar graph once again.
ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS? WHAT AM I MISSING HERE? AM I NOT CLEAR ON WHAT THE PROBLEM IS?
The other day it was taking so long for me I had to ask the fella on the other end of Cerebus to make a change on the C Record as I could not get in…
I agree that I think it has to do with the quota, for similar reasons. If it helps, I find if I try to brows to other pages within the Control Panel (it loads 1/3 of the way for me before it starts hanging), it sometimes gets it to kick in.
I am not sure what is causing the problem, but it sure is annoying. I do most the admin for most my clients, so at least they typically don’t see the error, but it sure is annoying for me to have to wait over an hour sometimes to login to change someones account…
