Control panel database migration - Friday, April 6th, 2007 at 11:00 PM EDT

As announced, we are moving our Hsphere control panel database to a dedicated database server.
To get a consistent and up-to-date copy of our database, we will shutdown control panel for 6 hours.

During this time, below tasks will be executed:

  1. Backup current database .
  2. Restore data to this new dedicated database server.
  3. Test connectivity for various Hsphere services to this database.
  4. Bring all services online from new database.

Maintenance starts Friday, April 6th, 2007 at 11:00 PM EDT.

We have sent notice of this maintenance almost a week ago, and I am not just bumping it up on the forums as a reminder to all that visit.

Control panel is being stopped for update now.

Database restore is in progress on the new server

Import was completed a while back. Control panel has been started for monitoring purposes. We still have to do last phase of maintenance that begins in next 30 mins.

Control panel is being stopped again for this last phase of maintenance.

Control panel has been up for long now, apart from couple of restarts.
Maintenance is done for the day.
