Hi, I have a customer who I allowed a month trial hosting. They created account using check/1 month & I credited thier axccount for the amount as trial.
They now wish to buy a year hosting with paypal.
What do I tell them to do?
Can they do it from thier cp? how?
all they need to do is in there CP go to “Billing Profile” or “Billing Info” and change it
they create a new billing profile and can edit how often they have to pay (eg yearly) then it’ll work it all out and they’ll have a button to submit the funds for a years hosting
for you, am not sure if you need to do anything, check out the hsphere manual as i remember seeing something about resellers have to ‘move’ trial accounts over to ‘paid’ accounts

just checked the link as i was adding it, you dont need to do anything, just need to get them to create a billing profile in which they choose “Paypal” and “1 year”
Thanx for that, though it wasn’t an actual “Trial” setup, just someone who contacted me & i said, sure I’ll give you a month free to evaluate, select check & 1 month, when you sign up. Then I manually credited the account.
They then said yep happy, how can I pay?
I logged on to thier cp to find out how they could & none of the billing links/change duration etc linked me to a paypal you must pay more funds & heres how kinda form.
Eventually I logged onto paypal & sent them a request money email, & I’ll manually add the credits when they pay.
Though if someone knows more on this it would be great for the next time…

Say a customer has already bought 1 year hosting & decides they wanna buy another year. How/can? do they do that from thier cp?
Ok I’ve figured this out:
customer goes to :
Billing/Billing Profile
selects PayPal from the Edit Billing Profile dropdown & clicks edit
Then saves the paypal profile
When the Billing/Billing Profile page is returned to, there is a text field at the bottom of the page where the customer can enter an amount to buy with paypal.
Customer buys credits & walla …$ credits are added to the customers account(if you have IPN activated with paypal).
Tell him to add the (amount for a year hosting) - (amount of a month) from their billing profile, than switch billing cycle.
