Datasources still require Open Ticket to Support?

Is it still required to get a datasource setup through support?

Required no, recommended, HIGHLY!

You will give a native CF DSN by request otherwise you end up with a nasty CF to JDBC to ODBC to JDBC to CF conversion process the way Hsphere creates the DSNs. This was not resolved even in Hsphere 2.5 but I have sent to psoft code smaples for how to PROPERLY make a CF DSN.
