I was just wondering what people’s opinion was of having sites with dedicated application pools. I’m not really sure what this means in terms of how having them affects the overall picture. Do they help with hogging sites? Which kind of sites should have them and why?

Dedicated application pools in hsphere do not work the way they should, they simply make extra web garden processes that make more problems than they help.
We do occasionally move sites to dedicated application pools and if this is needed we can do it via ticket.
Under what circumstances would you recommend moving a site to a dedicated app pool?
