I have a ticket in the system that I was told would get looked aftewr right away during live chat however it has yet to be assigned and it has been over 45 minutes now. It has to deal with propagation, DNS - not having the DNS reset the IP or something like that.
I realize it takes a while for all this to go through, but I was assured all had been set up correctly only to find out today that something else seems to be amiss. Meanwhile, my site remains offline.
If Jodohost owns an IP, a dedicated one, and it is already assigned to a server. Once a domain is assigned a this dedicated IP, should you not be able to immediately access the web site via the new Decdicated IP?
I am not speaking of the actual domain name, just the IP.
That is exactly what I thought. I knew something was wrong yesterday before I inquiried and asked support. Now that have a bad IP, they are switching it (even thoughI have heard nothing from them in almost 3 hours).
So I went into Hsphere tochange it back to shared for now, and of course, the Bad IP has already been seen by all of the Internet so no site.
Well, I am hesitant to do anything that takes it away from the shared IP until I see proof. I chnaged it back to shared since I am not interested in having this site offline for an additional 24 hours.
I have no idea what to do. I just want my site back up. If the IP was working yesterday when first reported, I cou;d have at least given people IP address for temporary access.
