I have 5 emails sitting in my outbox that wont leave! grrr!

Task ‘XXXXX.com - Sending and Receiving’ reported error (0x80042109) : ‘Outlook is unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).’

I think my client would cry then fire me if I told her the sending email to my mom story!

Here is a screenshot.

This is the same issue discussed in this thread:

If you look on the more recent posts, you’ll see that Stephen says they are waiting to move some high bandwidth users off of mail1 once they get their mail today.

As for Stephen sending from Gmail to his mother’s account on mail1, that’s easy to explain. Mail1 isn’t having a problem RECEIVING mail, it is having a problem SENDING mail. And if you send from a mail1 account TO a mail1 account, it seems to take even longer!

Hopefully getting the bandwidth hogs off the mail1 server will solve these issues. It cannot happen soon enough.

The major Client is needing 24 hours more as the things cant be worked out in this limited time frame. We are moving a few more off. Some of these clients are using it way beyond allowable limits of a shared mailserver, to all very legal stuff. We are going to do another set of H/w change as well that should additionally help here.
