I have a domain, say domain1.com with a domain alias, say domain2.com. How do I set up an email address like [email protected]? When I go into the control panel / mail info page, the drop-down list of domains contains only my true domain not the alias.
Thanks,
Tim
Was it enabled as a mail domain alias when you created the alias?
Uh, no. Can I add that in now?
Just found the option in the plan wizard, enabled it, added the alias in my client’s domain, and sent a test email. … fingers crossed …
I tried yesterday sending a message to the requested email address thinking that maybe the mail domain would be aliased automatically when the www domain was. I never got a bounce back saying the address was bad. Wonder why?
Tim
Tim,
I think it did not bounce because some bounces have been disabled, as spammers would use them (a qmail issue) to spam external and internal addresses.
