You can begin using the system immediately. It will take another 2 weeks before we can make this default (i.e. all email goes through dspam).
We switched jodohost.com to dspam and its working quite well (catching alot of spam)
How do we get started?
i have been getting a lot of legit email blocked seince activating dspam this morning.

I have noticed possible 1 false positive for you. If you can create a ticket with message contents(including headers), or atleast subject and sender email, I’ll train dspam to learn it as good.
i have received at least 4 [correction: 3] false positives in the last few hours that its been active.
I can only send you the headers of the blocked email that spam assasin eventually send. is this what you want?
I understand that there is training thats required - but i would rather sift thru stuff myself, than risk losing legit business emails…
I’m aware of 2 of these 3, i think. Infact i have trained dspam already for one of them. Still please send me headers of all 3 in a ticket.
I have made some changes in how spamassassin (current antispam on mailservers) marks messages. Now you will see the spam/false-postives as it is like a normal mail, just marked as spam in subject and an extra file attached that is a spam report.
This way you wont loose mails and keep using dspam.

By the way, a client of mine just started using the services of VSP at http://ateranetworks.com/ [ http://ateranetworks.com/www/Docs/VSP_Datasheet.pdf] that seems to work in the same style as you describe dspam. [it draws all mail from the domain mailboxes, scans them, quratantines the bad ones, send the good ones back to the mailbox, and at the end of the day, send a report, with an option to release false positives]
if dspam is the same - it will be very effective.

Our anti-spam wont send a report, but for rest, please have a look at “Future roadmap of this project” in the FAQ 
IS DSPAM suppose to delete spam or mark them as spam? I am still getting alot of spam still with DSPAM installed on one of my domians as a test.
May i know the domain name/mailbox please and also if possible send me a few spam passed through dspam in a ticket.

Replied. I’m needing the headers..
For information of others this was just due to cached MX and thus dspam not being used. Once the new MX is propogated fine, it shouldnt be a problem any more.
Alot of E-mails coming through is with a image with writing on top of it, then the spam text under it. Getting alot of those using DSPAM.

That is called Bayesian poisoning, and we are using many of them for training, I get about 2-3 a day through still, but over 100 a day stopped.
OK, I don’t get as many as I use to. But most of the spam now is those types.
Yes, it is mostly this image spam, but to stop this completely you may end up stopping any email with image attachments.
