I’m seeing 9 hour delays and this is affecting most of my customers who are starting to really complain. Is there any way we can prioritize certain accounts?
Same here see big delays.
It is just to update that mail server set up is finished and I started sync a while back. This is a time taking process but once done, things should be back to normal.
Yesterday, Thursday, I sent 4 tiny test messages. Here are the results (all times eastern):
sent approx 10:45am…
from mail1 to comcast.net arrived 10:35pm (12hrs)
from mail1 to earthlink.net arrived 12:35pm (2 hours)
from mail1 to another jodo server 10:23pm (12 hours)
sent 11:07am
from comcast.net to mail1 NEVER arrived or bounced back (still waiting 17 hours later).
I hate to be a pain in the ass, but seriously. This is HORRIBLE, and not a new problem. I have personally complained about peak time delays on that server for weeks, and now it is ridiculous. I know you say you are aware and working on it, but I still need to express my outrage. a slotution that could take another 5 days is also ridiculous, especially since during the sync times, it will probably be even slower (if possible). Why do I have the sneaking suspicion that if you took the server offline for 2 or 3 hours on Saturday night, the whole thing could be migrated over in one gulp. I would much prefer that be done (allowing mail2 to accept and mailbag as a propper relay should during that period).
Please Please do the fastest best solution! even if a few hours offline.
Clients are agast, and I can’t even do a mini-migration for them, because there is never a time i am sure the mail is caught up, and they will lose a day’s worth of mail at least. Plus I dont want to collect all their passwords (which neither they or I know)… it is just unworkable.
HHHHEEEELLLLLPPPP!!
Totally agree!!
What’s the state of this issue? The issue is going on and reseller haven’t any response to give our customers
Some window time about it?
I agree, 5 days is too long. I had an email sent to me at 9.30am yesterday about a client meeting that I’m supposed to be in right now and I’ve only just picked it up. I was accessing email for 15 hours after that email was sent yesterday so it obviously took longer than 15 hours to process.
Don’t expect a faster fix than what they’ve already told us. With the holiday in India (Diwali) and Jodo being on skeleton crew through Sunday, we’ll be lucky if it only takes 5 days.
I’m just hoping someone from Jodohost will be able to give us updates every few hours at the least. They are usually very good at keeping us informed, even if it isn’t what we want to hear.
Status on mail1 is continously reported. We have enough staff to take care of emergency issue.
ok well last eta i see on this is posted 1 and half hours ago:
Mail1 's smtp is stopped for urgent maintenance. It may last for 20-25 mintues.
Please, what are you doing in this momment? You must say something, no only, we are working on it… Reseller are lost and has no response from you. We have customers without email for more than 24 houres, and without any response about when it will be fixed.
Wich is exactly the point we are now in ? I’m trying to contact with live support several times today and after 1 hour I gave up. There is not live support.
10 hours ago I talk with Prakask about change my main critical domain to other mail server. "No problem ", said to me, It will be done in 1 houre…I’m still waiting …
We need to know a true response. WHEN is estimated to finish the fix and WHEN is estimated that the customer can use his mail normally
I opened a ticket yesterday to change my main critical domain to other mail server and I have no response .
I you need 5 days to solve this situation something is wrong in your way to work or in your recovery plan . This time is unacceptable.
SMTP on mail1 is started now, as reported in network outage.
I agree with you 100% that any delay is unacceptable. I can tell you for sure, we have been spending many many hours everyday to improve the mail1 service.
Due to major holiday in India, we have cut down on LiveChat as annouced at this Forums. We have staff who will work through this major holiday and attend all emergency issues.
Ok . I want migrate mail services of one domain to mail5 as I said in my ticket HIV-53347-585 . My customer hasn’t mail service during two days and as you can not say when mail1 will be fixed, I need to migrate this urgentelly.
What I must to do? I wrote a ticket , I tryed contact with live support,… I want you understand me. I can not solve this situation without you. I’m waiting more than one day and it wasn’t fixed.
Please, migrate the mail services of domain I said in my ticket to mail5. It is a very small domain (only 5 mailboxes), but very critical.
I wait your answer
We’ll get that done shortly
As the weekend approaches, we should see a massive dip in incoming spam and email.
We are working to get new mail1 up. The first sync of 88GB of data was complete. Two more syncs will be performed during the weekend and the server should go live just before monday (peak time)
the server might as well not be working at all right now. nothing will go in or out during business hours today. Why not totally disconnect it from the internet, and just do one more final sync. why try to do live syncs??
88 gig should take minutes if not doing it in a trickle and while the thing is live, and already overburdenned.
I just sent myself a test email from hotmail. It came in within 30 minutes. Right now delays have come down
We did a test from gmail, around 20min
internal to internal emails are however bad. they are being bad. That means emails from within the same domain are experiencing major delays.
However external email from other domains is coming in mostly fine, a little delayed
I just sent myself an email from one account on one of my Jodohost domains to another account on the same domain and received it within 1 minute, so things do seem to be dramatically improving. ![]()

So yes, things are normal. However of course that doesn’t mean we are resting
