Yes, I cannot connect to the mail server. When I try to get my mail, I get a connection refused message.

riley

I’ve put in a ticket for it, so hopefully it gets resolved soon.

Yep, it’s timing out for me, too. I haven’t tried webmail; last time it was down, webmail worked…

The issue is being looked into. There is a network issue which will be resolved shortly. VPS3 is also down.

Same problem here with Outlook, getting this error:
The connection to the server has failed. Account: ‘xxxxxxx’, Server: ‘mail.xxxxxx.com’, Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

but the webmail works fine.

One of the datacenter’s name server is down.

This is causing DNS resolution issues across our network. Being resolved.. Should be up shortly

Webmail will work

Here is an update. The datacenter’s primary nameserver was hacked.

This is not OUR nameserver, its the datacenters. Although its their responsibility, our linux team is infact working on this issue with them so they can have it restored ASAP.

We are hoping that we get the nameserver up in 20min max from now

I have the same problem. I have triyng this server for a month but if this problem with outlook express are habitual I must search other site.

Can we have two email servers for one email so it never stopped?

This problem has not existed for a month, just shortly ago it started.

We have a standby server but the issue is to do with the IP, not the mail server :frowning:

Very unfortunate. We are going to act on this issue once its resolved. We’ll have rDNS management permanently shifted to our servers so neither the datacenter nor level3 issues affect our mail server IP availability

You can send and receive email perfectly fine using webmail. Issue only affecting remote POP3 access via outlook express

Thanks for the aclaration

Hi Yash,

Any updates as it is still unavailable.

The issue is partly with datacenter, partly with level(3)

primary ns1 is being restored at datacenter and the issue should be fixed by that. But there is a secondary nameserver too that is working fine.

But level(3) has configure rDNS to resolve to NS1 and NS1. Not NS1 and NS2!!

They corrected that and they are saying its going to take 2 hours to resolve!!

But the datacenter should have NS1 restored much sooner. And once again, issue is only with POP3 access. You can access your mail via webmail perfectly fine and also send email via webmail. I have tested this with hotmail

I have just seen many post with similar problems like this. Now you must understand us. We have to tell our users why pop3 is down and there is not only to use webmail. The problem is the “image” of poor profesionality that our clients have abut us.

We are working on it, and we’d act to ensure it doesnt happen again.

Take my word on that.

cannot acces by mail.mydomain.com either?

It is working now

fixed

We are going to work on our plan now to change over the mail server IP to one we control
